My daughter Jordan once had a Maltese dog whose name was Majesty―and she lived up to her name! When Maggie, as we affectionately called her, was about six years old, we bought a puppy. It never dawned on us that Maggie would in any way be offended by this puppy. In fact, we thought she’d love the company. Not so.
One reason for Maggie’s bad attitude toward the puppy was that the puppy decided to play a new game. Whenever she’d see Maggie’s tail, she’d grab hold of it, and not let go. No matter how Maggie would run, jump, dance, or spin around and make the puppy fly through the air, she would not let go of Maggie’s tail until she was good and ready.
There’s a spiritual lesson to be learned from this. James 5:16 NLT says, The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results. Satan may have a hold on you ― He may be spinning you around, turning you every which way but loose. But I believe if you pray earnestly in faith, and hold tight to the promises of God, He can send you the miracle you’re seeking from Him.
