vote

our right and responsibility

As I write this letter, we are only a few days away from our national election. Soon we will be going to the polls to cast our votes for president. Some of us will be voting for senators, congressman, governors, as well as other state and local officials.

Back in the early days, pastors would stand up in their pulpits and discuss issues of the day from a Bible perspective, and encourage the people to vote for those who best exemplified those ideals.

Pastors held a lot of sway with their congregations. I believe that should happen again in order to help preserve our country and put God’s men and women in office.

I believe that there are far too many people who never take the time to cast their ballot in elections. Voting is not only our right, it is our responsibility.

  1. Voting is an active stewardship of society. Just as Christians are called to care for creation, we are also called to care for the society in which we live. Voting allows us to help shape policies that reflect Bible values.
  2. Voting offers an opportunity to support policies that promote justice, defend the vulnerable and protect human dignity.
  3. Jesus told us in Matthew 22:39 that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. Voting can be an expression of love for our neighbors, particularly in supporting laws and leaders who promote peace, equality, and the welfare of others.
  4. We as Christians are called to seek the well-being of the communities in which we live (Jeremiah 29:7). Voting promotes the common good and benefits everyone.
  5. Voting helps us to engage with and help influence the world positively with Christian values.
  6. The Bible says that we are “salt and light” in the world (Matthew 5:13–16), meaning that we are to have a preserving and illuminating influence on society. Voting allows us as Christians to help influence culture, law, and policies that shape and develop the fabric of our society.
  7. I believe that voting is our moral duty. By not voting, a person is actually saying that they don’t care about injustice and harmful policies.
  8. Voting for leaders and policies that protect religious freedom can help ensure that Christians are free to worship God and live according to their beliefs. That’s how and why our nation was formed by the founding fathers. By voting, we as Christians have the opportunity to participate in shaping a society that reflects the values of faith in God while serving the common good.

Now, you know me well. I am an evangelist in the healing ministry. I am an instrument in the hands of God. I love this nation, and I love people. I do not have hate in my heart for anyone. And because of that, I believe in the protection of strong family values. I believe in religious freedom and biblical moral principles.

I believe in Bible ordained marriage, family, and the sanctity of life. I believe in our government aiding our lives and not controlling them. And I want the ability to practice and share my faith in Jesus freely.

I believe in a strong national defense, as well as economic freedom, and fiscal responsibility.

I believe in working hard and providing a living for my family.

I believe in a moral education system for our children and grandchildren… one that does not lean toward socialistic ideals.

Also I believe in law and order, and I support our military, police forces and security agencies.

I believe in strong and protected borders with a system that is just by properly vetting those who wish to immigrate and enter our country legally.

Now, as I told you earlier, I am an evangelist. I am not a politician, and never will be. I will continue to carry out the call of God on my life as an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. But in saying that, I still feel an urgency to share the deep feelings of my heart for this nation that I love.

In my life, I have visited more than 60 nations. I’ve conducted healing crusades in more than 30 nations. I’ve seen the world the way it is. I have poured my heart into the preaching, teaching and healing ministry of Jesus all over the world. And I always thank God and I’m so grateful to Him when I come back to America. There is no place on earth like the USA. That’s why I’m pouring my heart out to you in this letter.

Please vote and believe for God to move supernaturally and put the right men and women in office in this election.
