Daddy, Abba, Father

Richard Roberts

I’ve lived most of my adult life in a household of women, and they’ve asked me for a lot of things. My wife has no trouble asking me for what she wants, and neither did our three daughters. They know that all they have to do is sit by me and say “Oh, Daddy” in a special way, and they’re pretty confident that I’ll do anything they want me to do.

When we have a loving relationship with our heavenly Father, we have the same privilege to come into His presence and call Him Daddy…Abba…Father (Romans 8:15,16). We can be confident that He will listen to us whenever we ask Him for anything in line with His will (I John 5:14–15). It’s God’s delight to grant our requests!
