A woman once told me that one of the reasons I was having so many troubles at the time was because I was allowing it. Now I can tell you, I didn’t appreciate her telling me that! She said, “Have you ever declared who you are in Christ Jesus?” And I answered, “Oh, I could never do that; it would be presumptuous.” “But, she said, you have to declare it because the Bible says it. You have to take your rightful seat of authority” (see Ephesians 2:6).
I decided that I was tired of the devil stealing from me, so I started to declare, “I’m blessed!” At first it was hard for me to say that, but the Bible tells me I’m blessed! Ephesians 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” The Bible never said the devil would declare it for you, though. You have to declare it for yourself!
The devil loves to lower your self-image by telling you you’re not worthy to be blessed. But he’s a liar! You can declare what the Bible says about you. According to the Word, you are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). So declare: “According to the Word, I am right before God, and He can use me. The Lord can use my finances. He can use my home, my marriage, and my children. I am in God’s will, and I can do what He has called me to do. I am highly favored of God!”
Decide today to receive everything God has for you. Why should the devil and his crowd have the blessings that belong to the children of God? Learn to be open to receive whatever God has for you by declaring that you are blessed!
