Isn’t it wonderful to know we serve the Almighty (Genesis 35:11) – nobody and nothing is mightier than God…not even our fears.
Exodus 14:13 says, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.” As we turn our thoughts away from the circumstances or situations of “trouble” and put our thoughts on God and on His Holy Word, we can see deliverances in our lives! The more we can see God’s nature, the more fear drains away and our faith is renewed.
Next time trouble comes your way, I encourage you to “fear not: believe only” (Luke 8:50). Say out loud to yourself, “Believe! Believe! Believe!” Say it over and over, disciplining your mind; using your will to believe only and fear not.
