The healing power of God is something I have known from my childhood. I embraced it in my youth and have been privileged to witness it and all of its fullness.
I have received so many letters asking: How may I know that God wants to heal me? How may I come to believe as you do; that God is good and that God will heal?
First of all, I know that God wants to heal your body because of what Jesus declared to people 2,000 years ago. In John 10:10 He said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Throughout the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, we hear over and over the enduring words of Jesus Christ telling the people that He has come to deliver them, to heal them, to set them free; to give them a new and transformed life. Every word He spoke accentuated this fact of God’s willingness to heal. And in all the pages of the New Testament, there is not one record that Jesus ever refused to heal in answer to a request for help.
