God doesn’t expect you to be anyone but yourself. And if you’re willing to be yourself, He can work through you. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:27 that God takes the things the world calls foolish and uses them to confound the wise. If ever there was someone whom God could test that Scripture on, I’m sure it would be me. He must have looked at me and said, “She’s the one the world will call foolish.” But if God can use someone like me, then I know He can do anything. And I’ve discovered that no matter what you say or do, the best thing you can ever do with your life is obey the Lord. That’s how He can work through you and help you solve your problems.
God can always find a way to do whatever it is He wants to do, and He’ll probably use the least likely person or the last person on the face of the earth that you’d expect Him to use. One reason the Lord works through certain people and not others is because He uses those who won’t work against Him. We have to surrender ourselves to God and say, “Lord, here I am. I make myself available to You.”
I’m living proof that God can work through anyone and still miraculously get the job done. I’ve never been able to figure out why God picked me to work in the ministry, but the Lord keeps working in my life and saying to me, “If you’ll hang in there long enough, something is bound to work.” That’s how God is. If you hang on and don’t give up on Him and His Word, then you can expect Him to fix your situation and cause you to be a blessing to others. If you’re a willing vessel for the Lord, He can help you fulfill the things He’s called you to accomplish!
