We live in exciting times ― when prophecy is being fulfilled so fast! One of those prophecies is in Joel 2:28–29, which says: And it shall come to pass afterward… afterward is NOW!
… that I will pour out my spirit ― God is speaking here of His Holy Spirit, not the spirit of this world. God is the One who is taking action and it is His very own Spirit that He is pouring out.
… upon all flesh; ― which includes you! It doesn’t matter where you’ve come from or what your background is, the Bible says “all flesh,” and that means all of us. God’s Spirit isn’t exclusively reserved for one race or nationality of people. It’s available to everyone.
… and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, ― Ladies, I hope you hear that as a word for you. Don’t feel left out. Don’t let some medieval tradition keep you from being God’s woman. God’s Spirit is being poured out on men and women alike so that they might proclaim His Word.
… your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: ― God is pouring out His Spirit regardless of age. You’re never too old or too young for the Holy Spirit to work in your life.
…And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. No matter what your station in life, your status in society, your job, your class, or your work, you have equal access to God’s Holy Spirit.
God’s Holy Spirit is being poured out today! It’s time to receive Him more and more.
