Richard Roberts – First of four parts
An important question we each must ask ourselves as we embark on a relationship with Christ is: Should I do God’s will or my will? To be like Jesus, we must make a decision in our inner man to choose God’s will for our lives.
Many people, however, question whether God has a will for their life. They wonder, “Does God really have a plan with my name on it?”
Let me assure you today…He does! God has a way in which He wants you to walk. He has a job that only you can do. He has a place that only you can fill. He has people to whom you alone can speak. Yes… God has a plan that has been personalized for you!
Jesus told His followers that God has a kingdom that “He has prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34). In other words, since before the beginning of time as we know it, God could look ahead to the day you would be born. He not only knows everything about you today ― even the number of hairs on your head ― but everything about your past. He knows who you are… after all, He created you. He knows your special talents and abilities, your personality, your situation and circumstances. And, He has ordained a special purpose for your life ― for today, for this year, and for eternity.
Look at yourself in the mirror today and say as you prepare to go out and begin your day, “God has a purpose for my life this day!”
