There’s a chorus that has been popular for many years that goes, “He is Lord, He is Lord, He has risen from the dead and He is Lord. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”
What does it mean for Jesus to be Lord?
It means that He is the Master. He is the Ruler. He is the One Who has all power and might, and Who has authority over everything that might try to come against us.
He is Lord over Sin.
He is Lord over death.
He is Lord over sickness.
He is Lord over the devil.
He is Lord over all the details of your life!
First Peter 3:12 promises us, “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers.” Trust God to be watching over you today. Trust Him to hear your prayers. Trust God to be your Lord, the Lord of your entire life.
