After the crucifixion of Christ, when He arose from the dead and ascended to heaven, the first thing He did was to go to paradise and proclaim His victory over death, hell, and the grave. In essence, He was saying, “I died on the Cross, I shed My blood. I\’m going to rise from the dead, and I\’m going to transfer paradise out of this place right into the presence of God!”
When a child of God dies, Paul says we are “absent from the body and present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8). What a joy it is to be a child of the King!
