Have you ever reached the point where you think your miracle will never come?
A member of our Partner family once told my parents how they had been at that point where they thought their miracle would never come. The man was driving 120 miles a day to work ― 60 miles there in the morning and 60 miles back at night. He did this for seven years, putting thousands upon thousands of miles on his car. Not only was he wearing out his car, he was wearing out his body.
Right across the street from their home was a great factory. Several times a year, this man would go over and apply for a job there, hoping they would hire him so he could walk to work. Although they hired others, they never hired him.
At the end of the seventh year, the man said to this wife, “I’ve got to do something. I’ve been sowing my seeds of faith to God through Oral Roberts Ministries, but I’m not getting my miracle. Something is wrong.”
She said, “I’ll tell you what’s wrong. You’re planting seeds, but they aren’t seeds of faith in God. You’ve been looking to yourself and to that factory as your source and not to God, your Source. You’ve got to get your faith moving toward God.”
He said, “You’re right. I haven’t been thinking about God as being my Source.
She Said, “Why don’t you go back over to that factory looking to God as your Source and trusting Him?”
The next morning, the man got permission to take a day off work and he walked across the street to the factory, went in, and said to the woman at the employment desk, “I have come to go to work.” She said, “Well, all right. Fill out these papers.” And then she asked, “By the way, when can you start?” He said, “As soon as I go across the street and change into my work clothes.” She said, “Hurry back!”
When you plant a Seed-faith gift, plant it with faith in God; your Source. God, your Source, is the only One Who can turn your seed into a harvest.
