Live By Your Faith, or Die By Your Doubt

From the archives of Oral Roberts

Romans 1:16˗17 says, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith.

Hebrews 11:23˗29 reads, By faith Moses, when he was born was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. Through faith he kept the Passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch him. By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

Moses was born with a cloud over his life, with a contract put out for his death as a baby as were all other Hebrew children born in Egypt at that time. All God’s people were enslaved there for 430 years.

He was taken by his parents and laid upon the water of the Nile in a little boat called an ark. Somehow they felt that this child should escape death and not be killed by Pharaoh’s army. Pharaoh’s daughter saw him, and as she looked at him out there in the little boat in the water; God had him cry, and it touched her heart, and she decided to keep him.
