The psalmist was rejoicing in the Lord when he wrote, [God] fills my life with good things! My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! (Psalm 103:5 TLB).
Yes, our bodies will deteriorate, but our minds and spirits are to remain strong. God teaches us to get rid of our old-fogey ideas and philosophies and get into the mainstream of faith and trust in God.
The time will come for you to go home to be with God. But until then, there can be a vigor of your mind, a glory in your spirit, a fire burning in your heart, and love blowing like a wind in your soul. Whatever your age, look up in the morning, let the sun shine on your face, and believe that something good is going to happen to you!
