I have a word for you today, and it is this: You are valuable. Your value is not based on your personality profile, your achievements, or your success. Nor is it based on the world’s value system. Instead, your value comes from God’s value system. So I’d like to list six eternal facts upon which you can base your value.
First, you are valuable because of the Purchaser who loved you so much that He bought you. John 3:16 tells us, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Second, you’re valuable because of the price that was paid for you. And what was the price? The price was the shed blood of Jesus. Let me tell you, the gift of salvation was not cheap.
Third, you are valuable because of the position you’ve been placed in. Ephesians 1:21 says that you are seated with Jesus in heavenly places, far above all principality, power, might, and dominion.
Fourth, you’re valuable because of the divine purpose to which you were called. You are part of God’s master plan for humanity. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV makes it clear: God’s plans for you are good.
The fifth reason you are valuable is because of the people you can touch. God knew the world would need you at this moment. Like Esther, you were born for such a time as this. Never in the history of the world has there been such a cry for you to go forth to touch and mend broken hearts everywhere.
And sixth, you’re valuable because of the potential that’s inside you. You have unlimited possibilities because Jesus said, “All things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23 NKJV). There is nobody like you. You are unique and irreplaceable.
