Expectation for 2024
What is in your heart for the upcoming new year? Do you need healing? Family restoration? Financial provision? In Matthew 19:26 we read, “…with God all things are possible.” So, let’s set our faith for miracles in 2024!
Using our faith can get us in a position to receive God’s provision. James 2:17 NIV says, “…faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” So how can we actively use our faith? Consider the following biblical principles as you seek God for your miracle.
1. Remember – God is your source.
God may use people in His plan to bless you, but they are not the source of your blessing – they are instruments in God’s plan. We thank God for them, but we also remind ourselves that “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights…” (James 1:17)
2. Give with purpose.
Giving with intentionality sets in motion a spiritual principle found in Luke 6:38 – Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
Giving, as God leads, can be a key to your breakthrough. Ephesians 6:8 tells us, “knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord…”
3. Expect a Miracle.
When you know God is your source and you have stepped out in faith to give, you can look to Him for the miracle you need. Isaiah 55:9 says, “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” And if things don’t happen as quickly as we would like, we can still trust God, and not get weary, as Galatians 6:9 MSG tells us, “… let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”
To strengthen your faith as you enter the new year, Richard’s mini-book, Expect the Unexpected, is available at the link below with your donation of any amount. When you place your order, be sure to include your prayer request for 2024. Prayerfully consider giving an end-of-year donation as an act of faith – giving toward the spreading of the gospel and expecting God to multiply it back to you.
