Trust the Potter’s Hand

Lindsay Roberts

There are times when God begins to change things in our lives, moving us in a new direction, and it’s uncomfortable. The “breaking in” time can feel strange, like wearing a new pair of shoes, and we want to go back to the old shoes, even if they were worn out and ugly, because they were comfortable.

Isaiah 64:8 says, But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. As God’s children, we are to submit ourselves to the Potter’s hand. Many times for our own good He has to readjust and twist and bend us . . . and it’s painful! We might think, This is never going to come out right. But God knows what He is doing. He’s an experienced Potter, and He loves us. If you’re going through a change right now, I want you to know that God is on your side and He is working. You may not see how it’s going to work out, but He does. You can trust the Potter’s hand!
