I’ve heard others criticize people of God for receiving what appears to be an overwhelming harvest.
Some Christians have actually criticized other Christians for receiving a bigger harvest from God than they received. At first, I thought they were just upset to see Christians prosper. Then I realized they were upset because they weren’t the ones who were prospering. They were jealous of another person’s harvest. To that I always reply that no man can stop another man’s harvest because you didn’t plant his seed. When another man plants his seed according to God’s own law of seedtime and harvest, God (not man) is obligated by HIS Word to honor that seed. No man can stop the God-ordained harvest of a seed planter… not by jealousy or any other means. For God said, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6:7).
If a man is reaping a bountiful harvest, perhaps it’s because of his bountiful seed. If another is reaping sparingly, perhaps it is because of seed sowed sparingly. (See II Corinthians 9:6.)
God’s Word is not going to change. Genesis 8:22 says that as long as the earth remains, there shall be seedtime and harvest. God watches over His Word to perform it. A farmer will tell you he determines his seed by the size harvest he wants, then sows his best seed; never his worst. The best seed yields the best harvest.
God demonstrated this when He sowed His best seed, His Son, Jesus Christ, to receive you and me into the kingdom as His harvest. Jesus didn’t come down from the cross in the middle of the crucifixion. He stayed there until He could cry, “IT IS FINISHED” and the victory was ensured.
