God loves it when we pray, and He hears every prayer His children utter to Him. Even if all of God’s children were to call upon Him at exactly the same instant, His communication lines would never be jammed. Unlike our earthly telephone system, there are no limitations to God’s lines of communication.
We can call upon God for healing like Bartimaeus (see Mark 10:51), for mercy like David (see Psalm 51:1), or for help in our time of need like Jehoshaphat (see 2 Chronicles 20:2–3), and God will hear us.
We can shout our prayers like the publican, sing our prayers like David, or say them with tears streaming down our faces like Mary when she anointed Jesus with precious oil (see Luke 7:37–38).
We can pray with deep groaning like David in Psalm 38, or we can pray in our hearts with only our lips moving, like Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:13, and know that God is listening.
It doesn’t matter if we call on God in the morning like David, at noontime like Daniel, or at midnight like Paul and Silas. At any time, from any place, we can send our prayers up to God.
And this is the confidence we have: If we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us (1 John 5:14 AMP).
