The first book my husband, Oral, ever wrote was Salvation by the Blood. He sent me a copy before we even started to date. After I read the book, I felt like I knew him a little better.
The next book he wrote when he was starting the healing ministry, and it was called If You Need Healing, Do These Things.
If you don’t know III John 2, you need to memorize it and say it over and over. It is God’s highest wish for us, His people. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
From that scripture came the term, “God is a good God.” If He loves us enough to want us to be healed, to be in health, to prosper, and to die for us to give us salvation, then He is a good God.
God is the same today as He was years ago when He healed people and walked the shores of the Sea of Galilee. He is still the same today (Hebrews 13:8). He wants to make you well. God wants to keep you in health every day.
We started teaching not only that God is a good God, but that every day of our lives, we can walk with Him. Once we except Jesus, we are just entering through the door. There is so much more to do after we begin to know Jesus, because if we know Him in spirit, then we walk in the Spirit every day. And as we walk in the Spirit, He teaches us how to believe Him for our healing.
We started our big crusades, and Oral taught these truths every night. Our crusades were three weeks long at a time, and in those days, his sermons were about two hours long!
There are enough promises in the Word of God to meet every need you will ever have. From beginning to the end, they are there. It’s all there!
