Many years ago, a young man and his wife felt called to go to the mission field of Africa. They took the ship across the Atlantic, and when they arrived, a guide met them to take them to the mission station. They travelled by canoe up a winding river, and when the river ran out, they carried their belongings through the jungle. The foliage became so dense that the guide had to hack their way through with a machete.
After weeks of travel, exhaustion set in and the jungle seemed to literally blot out the sun until it was almost dark. In a panic, the young couple cried out, “How are we ever going to find our way?” And the guide turned, with his machete in his hand, and calmly said, “I am your way.”
Is there a spiritual jungle you are passing through in your life today? Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6). This scripture says that Jesus is your way, and He can get you through to where you want to be!
