Have you ever gone into your closet and found that a lot of your clothes didn’t fit you anymore? That happened to Richard a while back, and it started to irritate him. It seemed that every time he put something on, he’d come out of the closet, saying, “I can’t believe it! I can’t wear this anymore!”
Finally one day he went into the closet and said, “That’s it! I’m not going to complain about it anymore. I’m just going to give away everything that doesn’t fit. I’m going to sow it as seed.” When he said that, the Lord spoke to my heart and said, “Richard just made his problem his seed.” Think about that!
The Lord started dealing with me to take areas of my life that I had looked at as a problem and begin to make them my seed. It works! For example, if you have a problem in the area of healing, begin to pray for someone else who needs healing. If you’re frustrated about not having enough time, then sow time. Galatians 6:7 says, “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
That’s what a businesswoman in Florida did. Her maternity shop was going bankrupt during one of my pregnancies. She contacted me and said, “Lindsay, rather than go out bankrupt, I want to go out sowing seed!” So she began to send me maternity clothes. And she just kept sending them! Finally I asked her, “What’s going on? I thought you were going out of business, but I keep getting clothes!” She replied, “Oh, I forgot to tell you. After I started sowing seeds, my business began to multiply. So instead of shutting the store down, I am expanding to open more stores!” You can do what she did…if you have a problem in some area of your life, make it your seed and expect a harvest!
