From the archives of Oral Roberts“Miracles Series” – Sixth of seven parts

Miracles bring with them an enthusiasm for life. The devil would like us to go about our day in a “no hope” way. But God wants us to begin each day expecting miracles.

God didn’t create you for a life that is lifeless, downtrodden, and without joy. He created you for a life that is filled to overflowing with joy and excitement about what God is doing in you and through you and all around you. Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Life is meant to be interrupted at any moment by God’s miraculous power. No matter where I am or who I am with, I expect ― deep within me ― for God to invade my life and the lives of those around me and to perform a miracle. I’m looking for it to happen. I’m waiting for it. I’m expecting it!

I live my life knowing that man’s resources help us, but we aren’t limited to them. I live knowing that we have access to the miraculous power of the Name of Jesus and to His Word. I live knowing that the power of the Holy Spirit changes lives. This gives me a “zest” for living that I can’t explain fully, but which I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.

Start looking for a miracle right now. Expect one to come today. Live in the hope and joy of expecting. God has a new miracle for you each and every day of your life!
