“Your Sins Aren’t Beyond Forgiving”

Richard RobertsFirst of two parts

A man named Nicodemus went to Jesus one night and said, “Rabbi, I know that you must be a teacher from God, for no one can do these mighty miracles except he be sent of God.”

But Jesus cut to the heart of the issue and said to Nicodemus, “You must be born again.” Nicodemus asked, “How can this happen? It’s not possible for me to be born again from my mother’s womb.” And Jesus said, “You must be born of the Spirit.” (See John 3:1-8.)

Many people today look at their situations in life and say, “What could God possibly do? This is too hard. It’s impossible. Nothing can happen to turn the situation around.”

That’s not what the Bible says!

The Bible says there is not a single human being that is so stained with sin that it is impossible for God to cleanse it. The Bible says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

The Bible says there wasn’t a disease or sickness that could withstand the healing power of Jesus Christ. Matthew 9:35 tells us: Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

The Bible says there wasn’t a demon power that could withstand the command of Jesus when He said, “Come out!” (See Mark 1:25 and 5:8.)

The Bible says that even death itself had to yield when Jesus spoke. (See Matthew 9:23-26 and John 11:1-44.)

No matter what the problem is in your life, it isn’t too hard for God! Turn to Him today and say, “God, I know your everlasting arms are long enough to reach out to me in my condition. In Jesus’ name, I trust you to hold me in your arms.”
