Focus on the Goal
Richard Roberts Once there was a king who was pestered by a young prince who often led his small army in brief skirmishes against the king’s troops. It became bothersome to the king, so he told his commanding general to capture the prince. When the prince was brought before the king, the king said, “I’ve […]
You May Be Close to Your Miracle!
From the archives of Oral Roberts The lives of the men who held the rope for Saul in Acts 9 were in grave danger. If they had been caught, not only would Saul have been killed, they would have lost their lives also. But they knew they were the only ones holding the rope. The […]
The Tenacity of a Puppy
Lindsay Roberts I once had a little puppy; part Pekingese and part Poodle. He was so persistent! I remember a time when he got hold of an exposed tree root, and I watched him as he pulled on it. I admired his tenacity. I thought, Bless his heart, he thinks he can move that whole […]
Know Jesus
Richard Roberts – Third of three parts Know Jesus. The last story in Luke 18 that tells us how to get our prayers answered is about blind Bartimaeus (vv.35-43). As he sat by the side of the road begging for money, Jesus came by. Bartimaeus cried out to Him, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy […]
Faith and Giving
Richard Roberts – Second of three parts Have childlike faith. The third story in Luke 18 that tells us how to get our prayers answered is the story of the little children who went to see Jesus (vv.15-17). Apparently, someone had tried to shoo them away, but Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. […]
A Prayer Road Map
Richard Roberts – First of three parts Would you like to have a “prayer road map” that shows you how to get your prayers answered? Jesus provided such a map in Luke 18. In one dramatic story after another, He shows us the Bible way to get our prayers answered: Have a never-give-up attitude. The […]
God Doesn’t Hold Grudges
From the archives of Evelyn Roberts Psalm 103 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. It says that God has not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great are His mercy and loving-kindness toward those who […]
A Real Page-Turner!
From the archives of Oral Roberts I have read the four Gospels–Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John–and the book of Acts, hundreds of times. They are the only source of original information about Jesus ever published. It sets my soul aflame to read about Jesus as the Messiah in Matthew, the Wonder-Worker in Mark, the Son […]

‘Lord, Teach Me’
Lindsay Roberts The older I get, the more I realize how much I don’t know. I don’t have all the answers, but I’m willing to pray, “God, teach me Your ways. Help me to have a teachable spirit.” God can teach us when we are moldable and pliable in His hands. I’ve always encouraged my […]
